What does the brow treatment process look like?

An initial consultation will be used to discuss your requirements and help you decide on the result that will best suit you. Everything from your lifestyle, image, hair, skin tone and facial features will be taken into consideration. Your Artist will then custom blend pigments to perfectly compliment your skin tone and hair colour. Next, your Elite Artist will draw your brows with a pencil, ensuring that the design suits your individual features and personal style. Only when you have fully approved the pencil design will the treatment go ahead.

Will the colour fade?

Our award-winning pigments are designed to fade out to a lighter version of the original colour, with no unwanted residue in the skin. Fade factor in permanent makeup is a positive thing! Faces, styles and tastes change year-on-year, and so it’s important to be able to tweak your treatment over time. Each Karen Betts Elite Artist is extensively trained in colour theory meaning you are in safe, experienced hands.

Is the treatment painful?

The treatment is not painful. You may feel a slight scratching sensation – akin to tweezing or threading. We do have ways of managing this for those who are more sensitive.

Will my brows look natural following a treatment?

We offer a truly bespoke service, creating your new design around any existing hair. If you have hair loss, we can mimic the look of natural growth. Each and every client has different needs. The shape and colour will be designed just for you taking into consideration your facial features and bone structure. The aim is to create brows which compliment your features and look like they are part of you.!

How long does it last?

This varies from person to person because skin type, diet, genetics and environmental factors can all contribute to how long the pigments will be retained.  For instance, sun bed use and sun exposure have a bearing on the pigment retention, but this can be prevented with proper protection. As a guide, it could be anything between one to five years before a new treatment is required, although refresher colour boosts are recommended for maintenance during this time. Once the colour starts to fade you will know that you are ready for your refresher colour boost. We offer colour boost rates from 6 – 18 months after the initial treatment. It is important to remember that permanent make-up is a “low” not a “no” maintenance treatment.
