The story of Karen Betts
Karen Betts is a titan in the world of Permanent Makeup, a true pioneer who has transformed countless lives with her artistry and vision. Karen’s story is one of dedication, innovation, and an unwavering passion for helping people feel their most confident and beautiful. Karen’s journey began not in a glamorous salon, but in a small Yorkshire beauty salon. In the early 90’s she rented a room to a tattoo artist, sparking a curiosity that would propel her career. Witnessing the transformative power of Permanent Makeup, particularly for individuals with medical conditions or facing the challenges of aging, Karen knew she had found her calling.
One day, whilst working in my salon, I found out one of my closest friends had been diagnosed with Breast Cancer. She subsequently underwent a double mastectomy and chemotherapy. Seeing how the Cancer stripped my friend not only of her hair, but her confidence, I knew I had to do something.
I've never been content to follow existing trends; I made it my mission to become a driving force for Permanent Makeup innovation. I've honed my skills, mastered traditional techniques and developed my own signature approach. I'm grateful to have received numerous prestigious awards and recognition as one of the UK's leading authorities in Permanent Makeup and Medical Tattooing. This is a lifelong passion, not just a career.
