Breast Treatments

From the diffusion of scars to full areola reconstruction, no matter your requirements, my team and I have extensive knowledge in medical tattooing for the breast area. We work closely with a select group of surgeons to ensure the best outcome for you, and our medical work is also recognised by some medical insurance companies, who may fund part of your treatment with myself or my Elite Artist Team.

What is a 3D areola tattoo?

A 3D areola tattoo is a cosmetic tattoo which mimics the look of a natural areola. Using specialist techniques, my team and I create a 3D tattoo of the nipple and areola that looks ultra-realistic.

FAQs

Prior to the treatment, you will have a personal consultation where we will discuss your requirements in detail. Next, we will design the shape of your medical tattoo before carefully selecting the perfect permanent makeup pigments for you.

The consultation will also determine if we need to tattoo camouflage scars that you might have to help blend your new medical tattoo seamlessly.

It’s really important to us that you are fully involved in the design process: we want you to feel confident and completely at ease before we begin to tattoo.

The treatment involves gently implanting cosmetic pigment into the skin using a cosmetic tattoo machine. Similar to a regular tattoo machine, a cosmetic tattoo machine uses needles which move quickly to penetrate the skin and deposit the pigment.

We will use a number of specialist techniques to create a beautifully natural-looking areola and nipple tattoo.

Your retouch appointment is an important step in your treatment. It allows us to fine-tune the colour and shape of your 3D nipple tattoo, and review how your skin is healing.

You won’t need anaesthetic for a medical nipple & areola tattooInstead, we use topical numbing treatments in order to make the treatment comfortable for you. Most clients are surprised by how quiet and how gentle our machines are – sometimes, our clients even fall to sleep during their treatments!

Your medical tattoo will heal over the space of around 7 – 10 days, although this entirely depends on your skin and your diligence with our recommended aftercare.

For the first 24 hours:

  • You may feel a tightness of the skin
  • The area may feel sensitive and tender
  • Apply a protective dressing

You may experience the following for up to 72 hours:

  • Flaking
  • Tenderness
  • Dryness and itchinesss in the treated area
  • Swelling and redness

Remember: your selected colour will be stronger and more sharply defined immediately after treatment but as the healing process occurs the colour will soften and lighten. The true colour will be seen 1 month after initial application.

Proper care following your treatment is necessary to achieve the best results. We recommend our clients follow the daily care below for at least one week until fully healed:

  • Always wash your hands before applying your aftercare healing balm
  • Apply healing using a cotton bud a minimum of 3 times daily, and always use a fresh cotton bud for each application
  • Cover the areola with a protective dressing during the day for the first 3 days, and remove at night
  • Avoid sleeping on your stomach. This protects the tissue and promotes healing
  • Some itching is normal. Do not pick, peel or scratch the treated area or the colour may heal unevenly and you risk scarring and infection. Allow the cast to flake on its own
  • Do not expose the healing skin to direct sun, tanning beds, jacuzzis, saunas, salt water, chlorinated pools, direct shower spray, or skin creams for the two weeks following the procedure
  • If the area gets wet, gently pat dry using clean tissue
