Eyebrows have become big news over the years. From the pencil-thin straight brows of the roaring 20’s (think German actress Marelene Dietrich) to beautifully bold brows in the 50’s a la movie icon Audrey Hepburn. Brow fashions are ever-changing – just like the seasons. And that’s what makes brows so interesting! But, there’s one brow trend that will never change: natural! So, grab a cup of tea and get comfy because in today’s post, I’m explaining why natural brows will never go out of fashion…

It seems only yesterday that the red carpets and beauty magazines were filled with images of model and actress supreme, Cara Delevingne. “BOLD IS BACK!” screamed headlines right from the Daily Mail to fashion and beauty bible, Vogue, as Cara’s brows became the focus. Women flocked in their masses to get the products and treatments needed to create those beautifully big, bold statement brows. The boom lasted a fair old while – HD Brows became a household name and the ‘instabrow’ was born. Brow powders, pomades and brow fibres flew off the shelves and many turned to permanent makeup to get the ‘blessed with it’ full brow look 24/7.

As we gently eased into 2014, a subtle shift was taking place. Under the millennial influence of brands like Glossier, a more natural look was emerging across the media. Beauty bloggers were starting to promote undone, natural brows with gentle texture and a fluffier effect. A softer brow that still framed the face beautifully and looked high fashion but with minimal effort. HD Brows remained at the forefront creating products to naturally enhance the brows (hello Brow Beater!) we were blessed with and give our natural brow hairs the strength to flourish.

Fast forward to 2019 and the natural brow look is still very much in. Women and men have started to understand the appeal of ‘natural beauty’. Or have they? I’ll let you in to a little secret…the most popular request that I have across all three of my permanent makeup clinics in London, Yorkshire and Cheshire is and always has been ‘natural’ brows! Whatever is trending in the media, natural brows always have been, and in my opinion always will be, the most prominent brow look to covet.

Whatever brow look we choose to embrace, our foundations always lay on a beautiful, natural brow first of all. If you don’t have much in the way of natural brows yourself, whether that be through overplucking, illness or simply growing older (which I believe is a privilege), I can help you with my sought-after natural hair stroke brow technique.

Using my multi-award-winning K.B Pro Permanent Makeup Pigments I can create the most realistic hair strokes across the brow area that are undeniably natural. With a combination of my pigments and my microblading tool and permanent makeup machine, I give my clients worldwide the illusion of perfectly natural, beautiful brows.

So, whatever is trending at Fashion Week, remember this: natural brows will never go out of style and neither will a winning smile.
