SOPHIE'S story

Sophie was born with Talipes (Club Foot) which requires a lot of surgical intervention from childhood. It was a challenging time growing up and unfortunately bullying was an issue. Sophie developed Arthritis and CRPS (nerve damage) which affected her walking. Life was impacted in a big way. Sophie was nominated for the Gift of Confidence day in recognition of her achievement in overcoming amputation and for sharing her inspiring journey, supporting others who face adversity. “My usual look is rough hands and gym kit! I wanted to show ‘me’. My first reaction was wow, I’ve never had brows like that before! I was nervous about the big reveal but was really looking forward to seeing a different me. I’m so happy with the result”.
